How Can I Get Home Care in North Sydney? 

If you are over 65 and experiencing isolation or a health condition that have recently had a fall, been isolated, or have a health condition that prevents you from living life effectively and comfortably, you may be entitled to a government-subsidised Home Care Package. 

If this is you, and you would like access to home care in North Sydney, your journey begins with the government’s My Aged Care portal. Please visit the My Aged Care website or call [insert number] to arrange a holistic health and wellbeing assessment. Once your assessment is complete, you may be allocated funding through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) or a Home Care Package (HCP). Alternatively, private services are also available and Vitality Club can assist with all three (and more!)

Vitality Club is an approved provider of the federal government’s CHSP and HCP Programs. We also provide private health services that may be partially reimbursed by your health fund (depending on your cover). 

What are the common options for home care? 

• The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) is an entry-level care service for senior Australians with short-term care needs. For example, you have a fall and need short-term assistance getting back to health and independence. Services under this scheme are subsidised by the government. 

• Home Care Packages (HCP) are also subsidised by the government and allow seniors access to affordable home care services on an annual / ongoing basis. HCPs are for those with more complex care needs than those on the CHSP. For example, you suffer a chronic health condition that prevents you from completing basic tasks in your home or our condition continually impacts your ability live independently 

If you are ineligible for either a HCP or CHSP other programs may be available. Alternatively Vitality Club can deliver private mobile allied health care services to your home. These services may be reimbursed by your private health fund, depending on your cover.
